Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
ClipPilot (clippilot.backend2.rs) is an application by backend2. Contact: sasam09@gmail.com. We are the controller of the data described here.
2. What the app does
After you sign in with Google, the app reads the videos on your YouTube channel, suggests a title, description, tags, hashtags and a publish time, and — only when you click “Sačuvaj na YouTube” (Save to YouTube) — writes them to your channel through the official YouTube Data API.
3. Data we read from Google
- Google account: email address and name (to sign you in and check that the account is allowed to use the app).
- YouTube channel: title, description and channel picture.
- Videos (latest 50): title, description, tags, language, privacy status, scheduled time, duration, view count, thumbnail.
Requested scopes: openid, email, profile and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube. Full YouTube access is needed because the app updates video metadata.
4. What we change on your channel
Only for the video you open and only when you click save: title, description (with hashtags), tags, language and publish time. A scheduled video stays private until YouTube publishes it. We never delete videos, never upload new ones and never change anything else.
5. Storage and retention
- No database. Channel and video data is read from YouTube every time you open a page.
- The Google access token (and refresh token) is kept only in your session on our server, for at most 7 days or until you sign out. Signing out deletes the session.
- Cookies in the app (after sign-in): a single session cookie required for sign-in. No analytics or advertising in the app.
- Cookies on the public website (home, privacy, terms): Google Analytics (Google LLC) measures visits — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. It sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies (up to 2 years). Analytics never receives YouTube channel data. You can block it in your browser or with the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on. - A video you upload for an AI suggestion stays on our server only for that request and is deleted immediately.
6. AI (Google Gemini)
Suggestions are generated with the Google Gemini API (Google LLC). When you click “Predloži tekst” (Suggest text), we send Gemini:
- your description of the video and your mandatory keywords, its current title and description, duration;
- the channel title and description and the titles of up to 5 most-viewed videos (for style);
- the video thumbnail, or the whole video if you upload it — the file is deleted from Gemini after the suggestion (Google deletes it within 48 hours in any case).
While we use the free tier of the Gemini API, Google may use this data to improve its products under its terms. Do not put unnecessary personal data in the video description or keywords. The AI makes no decisions for you — it only fills in the form.
7. Who receives the data
- Google / YouTube — reading and writing channel data (YouTube Data API), sign-in (Google OAuth), AI suggestions (Gemini API), web fonts (Google Fonts), public website visit measurement (Google Analytics).
- Our hosting provider, whose server runs the app.
We do not sell data, use it for advertising or share it with anyone else.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
ClipPilot’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. YouTube
This app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Data processed by Google is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
10. Revoking access
You can revoke access at any time: sign out in the app, or in your Google account at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions → this app → “Remove access”. After that we cannot read or change anything.
11. Your rights
Under the Serbian Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette RS No. 87/2018) you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. Write to sasam09@gmail.com.

When the app starts processing data differently, we update this page and the date at the top.
